Who I Am
I am a mixer, engineer, producer, musician, and owner of The Rye Room recording studio based in Portland, OR. I am passionate about connecting with artists to create records with top shelf sound. Why all these references to whiskey? Well, I believe every artist, band, or producer brings unique elements to their music. My goal is to distill these elements with care, handcrafting each record to be the best it can be. Small batch, handcrafted records means I approach each project with an eye for quality, lifelong passion for music, and a focus on creating your best record.

As a collaborator, I understand the importance of working closely with artists and producers to bring their vision to life. My approach is to listen to your current mix and any references, review notes, and provide you with a commercially competitive mix that you will love.
Studio
The Rye room
The Rye Room was built in 2015, designed to be a full service studio. There is a nice sized live room accompanied by a small iso room both with great sight lines to the large control room. The studio features monitoring by Neumann and Focal, and a beautiful list of high end, boutique outboard gear and microphones. One of our favorite features is a mint Scully 280b 1/4” 2 track for printing mixes. All conversion is done by an Apogee Symphony.
